Hands up all those who don’t like a little slice of retro indie music …come on, all of you. Well you folks should stop reading here, because this is definitely not for you! But for those of us who love a bit of sunshine that hearkens back to a great era of British music, then Italian (and no less authentic) group Harringtones with their new video release, This Is The New Age, should be just the ticket. Floating along on classic jangly guitars, washed-out vocals and a hook and feel that will stick in mind long after the track has subsided, This Is The New Age is unashamedly blissful without losing it’s edge. Harringtones released the EP This Is The New Age in 2016 on Sliptrick Records and the disc beautifully captures their emotive 60’s psychedelic come Brit Pop style. The songs were recorded in collaboration with the legendary British musician Steve Cradock (Ocean Colour Scene, The Specials). Cradock contributed guitars, piano and auto-harp to the tracks.
